61. EUHOFA WORLD CONGRESS – Bad Gleichenberg – 2024
Welcome to Bad Gleichenberg
We are very proud and thankful to organize the 61st EUHOFA congress at our Tourism Schools Bad Gleichenberg. It will be the 3rd EUHOFA congress, which will be held at our school.
„Less is more“, „tourism in times of change“ and „congress of short distances“ are the main topics of our congress. Our programme will offer four academic talks with tourism experts.
Tourism Schools Bad Gleichenberg
Tourism Schools Bad Gleichenberg are among the world’s best and offer excellent qualifications to start an outstanding career. They have been internationally known since 1946 as the private education institution for tourism in Austria.
Touristic, economic, digital subjects, sustainability, innovation management, entrepreneurship, future topics and social skills as well as communication and languages are at the centre of attention. Thanks to internships and on-the-job trainings at international events as the Kitzbühel Downhill race or Bayern München Champion League matches, an ideal combination of theoretical and practical skills is offered. Almost 7,000 graduates are successfully working in more than 150 countries at present.
The programme will offer four academic talks with tourism experts on the following topics:
- challenges and opportunities of the tourism industry
- best practice examples – excursions to local touristic flagship companies
- worldwide tourism on equal terms – closing the gap between poor and rich
- less is more – new ideas in tourism
- revolutionary concepts of learning – new education of new people
In addition to the exciting discussions, there will also be an extensive sightseeing programme to get to know the region, its distinctive cuisine and its traditions as well as the world capital of culture Graz. Your partner is sincerely welcome and will be included with a comprehensive leisure programme (sport, culinary, thermal spa, etc.).
Throughout your stay, tourism students of Bad Gleichenberg will be on hand to offer you advice and assistance.

Thermen- & Vulkanland
Bad Gleichenberg is a spa town with over 180 years of tradition. The numerous hiking paths in Bad Gleichenberg that run along the gentle hills with fruit orchards, meadows and forests are a feast for the eyes. The heart of the town is made up of the 20 hectare spa park and the newly redesigned main square. The Tourism Schools are located next to the park.
Thermen- and Vulkanland Region
The tourist region of Thermen- & Vulkanland is located in southeastern Austria and spans around 1,300 square kilometres. Around 120.000 people live in the Thermen- & Vulkanland, which is popular for the culinary treasures, thermal spas and active enjoyment of nature.
Graz is the second biggest city of Austria, the only Capital of Delight of Austria, the European Capital of Culture 2003 and City of Design. The charming provincial capital of Styria offers a lot of cultural and culinary highlights. All of it in close proximity to nature and lots of fascinating excursion destinations.
Bad Gleichenberg is a small, fine village. All accommodations are within a walking distance of max. 10 minutes from the Tourism Schools Bad Gleichenberg
