June:
On June 25, the Rauch siblings hosted “DAS FEST”, a culinary highlight where the who’s who of the Austrian gastronomy scene came together. And the students from the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools were right in the middle of it and not just there…..
Sept.: Brussels
At the end of September, the HL2, accompanied by class teacher Emanuel Fasching, service teacher Claudia Sorger and service teacher Josef Sorger as well as cookery teacher Christian Klapsch, travelled to Brussels, where the province of Styria organised a Styrian evening. In addition to the on-the-job training, the class also had the opportunity to get to know the city.
“During our work assignment in Brussels, we had the honour of catering for some high-ranking politicians and personalities at our Styrian Evening. During our 4-day excursion, we spent a lot of time together and were able to strengthen our class community. On one day we visited the city centre of Brussels and had an informative guided tour. During a tour of the European Parliament, we were familiarised with the most important tasks of the EU,” says HL2 student Max Pesendorfer.
Sept.: Vienna HL3/HL4
The new school year has just begun, and the first work assignment was already on the programme for our HL3 and HL4. Together with service teacher Josef Sorger, the pupils travelled to Vienna, where the reception of the Styrians in Vienna took place at Kahlenberg with Styrian celebrities, under the motto “The Green Heart in Vienna”.
Oct.: QUA anniversary celebration
At the beginning of October, our TGA 2 and 3 were on duty at the 15th anniversary of the QUA qualification agency, which has been an important partner of the tourism schools for several years and does a lot for the next generation of tourism professionals in the region.
Nov.: GAST
This year, some of our HL4a students worked at the “Alles für den Gast” trade fair at the beginning of November, where they demonstrated their hosting skills at the Lohberg stand.
In addition to working at the fair, the class still had enough time to visit the fair themselves and marvel at the latest trends and products.
Nov.: Champions League
After the game is before the game…
Bayern Munich and the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools
There is a very special highlight in terms of on-the-job training at the tourism schools in Bad Gleichenberg: the regular work assignments at all of Bayern Munich’s Champions League home games in the Allianz Arena. Our teams are once again on duty this season. The students of our KTF1 and KTF3 as well as the gourmet experts from TGA3 kicked things off.
